Foundation Overview
Kaliam Green Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting environmental sustainability and enhancing community well-being. Although its members have been working voluntarily for decades, the Foundation was formally registered in 2024 to gain clearer access, legal recognition, and the protective framework under the Punjab Charities Act 2018. Primarily serving District Rawalpindi, with a current focus on Union Council Kaliam Awan, the Foundation addresses critical environmental issues, including forest restoration, water resource management with a focus on rainwater conservation, soil preservation, sustainable agricultural practices, community empowerment, and health initiatives. Through collaboration with local government bodies and community stakeholders, the Foundation aims to create lasting, impactful change and has plans to expand to additional regions in the future.

This initiative includes creating a platform for the sale of organic crops, and providing technical support for tree plantations. We aim to give training to farmers for cultivating cash crops and will provide training for women in community gardening of medicinal plants, enabling them to sell their produce through direct vendor connections. Furthermore, we will organize training programs in cultural materials for volunteers of all genders, fostering authenticity and facilitating global collaboration.
  • Health and Well-being Initiatives: Addressing public health issues linked to environmental conditions like dengue, malaria etc.
